The Godfather of Grunge Neil Young will release the ‘Hitchhiker‘ album that he recorded back in 1976 on Sept 8th on Reprise. In August of 1976, Neil Young spent a studio session recording 10 acoustic songs and most of the songs on ‘Hitchhiker‘ have appeared, on different records by Neil Young through the years… Yesterday on the Colorado community radio station KOTO, Young was a guest on the show Radio Think and told the story about recording those songs and apparently, Dean Stockwell, the actor from Blue Velvet and Quantum Leap, was hanging out with him in the studio on that day. Watch the the Facebook Live video here and listen to the title track ‘Hitchhiker‘ below.

Neil Young is such a classic! This just makes me want to listen to my favorite 70’s playlist on repeat. I mean who doesn’t like a good decades playlist! – http://www.digster.fm/playlist/1973-essentials
